My path in life took a while to figure out
1.
Went to college to figure out what I wanted to do.
2.
Took a college job in my admissions office and became a tour guide, perfecting my presenting skills.
3.
Studied Politics and Writing but still wasn't sure what to do with it.
4.
Became an Admissions Counselor when I graduated.
5.
After a year, moved to Boston to be close to friends, and joined a start up working with colleges.
6.
4 years my company was acquired by Hobsons and I took the plunge to go to Ohio.
7.
Teaching schools to implement our software, I learned a lot about different types of colleges.
8.
One presentation and I became the 1st Solutions Consultant at Hobsons. Today I lead an amazing team!

How I responded:
Remember that home is always going to be there for you and the people that love you the most will always open their arms to you when you come back. If you only seek success in your backyard, you may never see what your best opportunities are. Instead, choose to ignite the light inside you, take a risk, and see what happens. If it doesn't work, it's reversible and even more importantly, what if it does work?
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
I'm close to my family but my work requires me to be away from home for long periods. In the past years, close family members have suffered health problems and having to be away has been hard. Learning balance between work and home has been hard.
Being one of the first in my family made getting to college hard. My parents were supportive but didn't know how to help me. I chose college to be the first time I'd trust myself to make my own choices. That independence paid off!
