How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Society in general:
When I told people my undergraduate degree from Texas A&M was Child Professional Services, I received a lot of initial negative feedback. I was asked "why would you want to work in such a sad profession"?
How I responded:
My response to that was that "someone has to do it". Rather than looking at it as a sad profession, people should realize that your main objective is to help out the children the best you can. If no one decided to take that route, then who would be there to help the children out in need?
