Defining Moments

How I responded to discouragement

  • THE NOISE

    Messages from Peers:

I have been rejected by companies when starting out because of no experience. But I did not let that discourage me from continuing to apply to other companies.

  • How I responded:

Rejection is part of the process. You may have to interview with many companies and face many rejections. Do not let that get you down. The more interviews you do, the better you can prepare yourself for future one.

Experiences and challenges that shaped me

  • I went to local community college the first year to take the Basics. This saved money. Take courses that apply to your degree. Apply for scholarships. Also, get summer jobs to help pay.
