How I responded:
I just say try to do well in research. One acceptance of journal or conference paper will alleviate all pain received due to criticism. The joy of that success will continue to motivate in accomplishing future research work.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
I am from a well-to-do family. However, I decided not to take their help in dealing with my financial misery. I feel everyone should go through that phase. Since the learning received on those days stays with you for rest of your life.
